So…the adventure continues!
We’ve moved on from beautiful Bali to tasty Thailand!
We’ve swapped motorbikes for tuk-tuks (inexpensive, Thai cabs):

Bintang for Chang:

And..okay it’s really Bintang for buckets…

First Stop?
Bustling Bangkok!

Khaosan road is the hub of activity for Bangkok backpackers.
The street is lined with bars, restaurants, shops, fortune tellers, and vendors selling clothes, shoes, jewelry, snacks, etc.

And by night?

…the street is packed with music, beer, balloons filled with laughing gas, and drunk, happy travelers!
Khaosan road has also spawned a craze that has plagued us throughout our Thailand travels…

the phad thai addiction!

(wrapped in egg)
We might as well be in Phad-Thailand!
Although Bangkok was fun, it was a bit too smoggy for our taste, leading us to hop the night train up to lovely Chiang Mai.

Here, we decided to take a walk on the wild side and go on a two-day trek into the jungle.

Including a peek into some Thai caves...

Yes, we were hot, sweaty, and constantly swatting mosquitoes…

but fresh, tree-ripened papaya certainly helps!
After 4 hours of trekking, we arrived at our home for the night.

However, trekking and villages were just warm-up for the real Chiang Mai experience…

Elephant rides!

Followed by an elephant bath...

Followed by a bamboo raft trip...

And a lovely waterfall!
After all our strenuous trekking, we returned to the city of Chiang Mai for some well-deserved cocktails and night market-ing.

Thailand…so tasty…
Well, it’s back to the beach for us!
See you in Phuket!
