I See Seoul

How do you detox from Thailand’s buckets and balloons?
Well, water and sleep are ideal, but seeing family abroad certainly helps!

My cousin and her family live right outside Seoul, so I couldn’t come to Asia without paying them a visit! Luckily, South Korea is very modern, hip, and interesting, so the decision to do so was a no-brainer.
First?

Seoul!

Molly and I stayed in a hostel close to Hongik University. This area is quite popular and flooded with young Koreans.

Hungry students flock to the numerous local restaurants, many of which serve steaming hot pots right to your table. Do-it-yourself Korean BBQ joints are also quite common.

After Seoul, I headed to Yangju for more food and family time!

Labokki

Bulgogideopbap

Kimchi jjigae
Trust me, they were all delicious.

And we can’t forget Kimchi, one of South Korea’s most popular foods!
Although Yangju is pretty quiet, I was able to check out a nearby city, Uijeongbu.

Although we enjoyed South Korea, it was very a short stop. Truth be told, Molly and I couldn’t ignore the call of Indonesia’s beautiful sunsets and sandy beaches.
It’s back to Bali!
